Kate McDowell - Kate's Cheese Co.

A place that has impressed me is Kate's Cheese Company located at 19 Front St. Greenport New York. It’s hours are 12 to 8 pm weekdays and on weekends till 10 pm. Kate's Cheese Company is owned by Kate her son and daughter-in-law.

Kate's Cheese Co. utilizes the variety of cheese produced on the North Fork and also imports cheeses from around the world. To pair with those, she also hosts a wide variety of wines both local and selections from Spain and other countries. Furthermore they have cheese and charcuterie boards, salads, grilled paninis, lobster rolls, and chocolate fondue.

Kate's is expanding the store to include specialty items from the North Fork like Simply Nikki butters, Brine pickles, North Fork chips, local honey and chutneys.

There is live music on Friday nights from 7 to 10 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.

To add to your Greenport experience, Kate’s Cheese Co. has paired with “The Glory”, the only solar certified boat in the US, to offer Wine and Cheese sailing tours.

Kate is a talented businesswoman, operating Kate’s one hour studio for 20 years, and still operating for private sessions. She is also a tennis instructor and runs a property management business.

Kate approaches every new business venture with her unique, artistic outlook and Kate’s Cheese Co. is no different. If you are looking for a place to relax and please your palate in the middle of downtown Greenport, be sure to stop in. @katescheeseco
